THE APRIL FOOL PRANK!

Rain! Rain!! go away go and come another day…..Herr early days in school was super fun as young children we taught life was eat, play and sleep. As the waves of adulthood blows there we got to know how unpredictable life is. Cracking of jokes and teasing each other was a normal activity played among friends. There has been survival things my colleagues’ and I used to entertain ourselves some include hide and seek, computer games, brain teasers, ghost riders, and occasionally pulling of pranks and many others. There was this pranks which always got us into trouble and here I introduce the piece you just started reading ‘The April Fool Prank!’. April Fool Day is a day known widely as all fool’s day or a foolish day its origins are uncertain. Some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calendar New Year’s Day Moves Ancient cultures, including those of the Romans and Hindus, celebrated New Year’s Day on or around the vernal equinox (March 2006 or March 21st) in medieval times, much of Europe celebrated March 25, the Feast of Annunciation, as the beginning of the new year. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII ordered a new calendar (Gregorian Calendar) to replace the old Julian Calendar. The new calendar called for New Year’s Day to be celebrated Jan 1. That year, France, adopted the reformed calendar and shifted New Year’s day to Jan 1. According to a popular explanation, many people either refused to accept the new date, or did not learn about it, and continued to celebrate New Year’s day on April 1. Other people began to make fun of these traditionalists, sending them on “fools errands” or trying to trick them into believing something false. Eventually spread throughout Europe. It believed that the explanation given for the April fool day was half truth since England for instance didn’t adopt the Gregory Calendar until 1752 yet they were celebrating April fool’s day and also the historical evidence for this explanation. April Fool’s Day celebrated every April 1 where people are sent on a fool errands and if become a victim of a trick or boas you are called April Fool. Over the years many have died through such pranks that, they were pulled with expensive jokes. Joy FM has over the years been pulling pranks on their listeners, a year ago Joy FM carries away the news that, the host of the Cosmopolitan Mix show Doreen Andoh Queen of the airwaves after nineteen (19) years of dedicated service, the goddess of radio has existed the station and is heading towards a different field which most popular sites in the country including citifmonline.com spread the news which all ended up to be lies and an April fool indeed.
The sister station of Joy FM Adom106.3 FM which boast to be the best radio station in the country also in last three years pulled a prank that their star comedian Efo Gh (the Ewe man who has been cracking jobs with Jerry Justice on Offiekwanso) would be marrying on the 1 day of April and so therefore vehicles would be place at certain vantage points for the lovers of Efo Gh and Adom FM to help make the event a grand one. Somewhere last year when Mr. Blessed Godsbrain Smart known well as Captain Smart left Fox FM in Kumasi and joined the Accra based radio station Adom FM, when it got to the April fool day, Adom FM alarmed that the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has taken custody of Captain Smart for wrong allegations which almost made his mum go mad which she rushed all the way from Central Region to know the where about of her only child Blessed Godsbrain Smart turning out to all be in the name of April Fool. There have been survival attempts to quit the celebration of Fool day’s considering the illegality, April fool is a day of sending people on fool errands but not create tension panic and fear. What come may it is really fun to enjoy but whenever you fall a victim remember you are called an April Fool. Let celebrate such a wonderful but shocking day. Stay alert not to be an April Fool on the Fool’s day.
